Victorious Combinations

  We are excited to be performing with our pals Rat Silo on Friday December 29th at the Princeton. Rat Silo is hosting the night and will be performing two sets starting from around 9pm.   Combine the V will hit the stage likely at 11:30 or so.  Quite looking forward to this gig. We habitually meet on Fridays for a pre-rehearsal pint at the Princeton as its only two blocks away from my studio.  It will be fun to try our material out on that stage. I am planning on bringing a sub-woofer to ensure our sound has a chance to impress! The live set is progressing rapidly. With Dan Clement 's addition to the band we are more prolific and the new material is a lot more up tempo. We shall be making a formal introduction to our new single "Danser Tout le Temps" this night. It's quite a cool dance track that has all three of us excited and singing in French! We are excited to announce another live show!  We've been asked to open for The Gathering at their Ep release party down at the Rickshaw Theatre.  What is going to make this even more exciting than usual is the guest musicians that will be joining on stage for this show. We can't announce  anything yet but after a conversation last night with a certain guitarist I am very stoked about this night!! Of course the wonderful Dan Walker is on the drums for us again, so it'll be a full band for first time in almost a decade for Combine the Victorious. Not a show to miss. Plus we'll be playing our new single and the unreleased single we have coming up.  Big love to The Gathering for inviting us to join in the fun. We are excited to be a part of this cool event: Daisy's Odyssey put on by the creative folks of eatART. Located on the new Emily Carr campus: 577 Great Northern Way, Vancouver The whole thing start early with a special installation, then there will be DJ's, opera singers, Combine the Victorious and Mark Woodyard. The whole thing is space themed and coming in costume is encouraged! Combine the Victorious will be adding Dan Walker to the live show. Isabelle and I had a great time down at Roundhouse Radio on Tuesday afternoon and are pleased to share our interview.  We discuss music and fashion.  It was a lot of fun and we performed a couple songs acoustically: Glasgow and Brotherhood.   Have a listen, we are both rather pleased with it. We were lucky enough to have a couple great camera operators video our last live show at the Fox Cabaret last week.  I'm currently trying to edit together a clip of one of the songs from the live show.  It's looking pretty good but unfortunately there have been a few glitches along the way to impede progress.  However we shall prevail and hopefully have something to upload before long.  Please stand by! We are joining The Vaporettos on their debut show at the Backstage Lounge this Wednesday, March 26th.  Isabelle and I have written a brand new set that features two new songs and some very electrified versions of recent tracks. Isabelle and I will be doing an acoustic performance at her new store at 4158 Main Street tomorrow.  In the spirit of Valentine's day we'll be singing in harmony with just a guitar and a few beats for a couple of our favourite songs.  Please join us before you head out on a romantic date!   We'll be playing at around 6PM. Looking forward to performing at Electric Owl this Saturday July 27th.  Combine the Victorious is on at 8PM, opening for Trails and Ways from San Diego.  Also on the bill is Gang Sings , who we've enjoyed on previous evenings earlier this year.  A great line up at a good venue.  Our set is really solid too. Thanks to Rob Edmonds for this glimpse of our show this past Friday at Muster Studio.  That is in fact Isabelle singing thru effects to create the voice you're hearing.  We've decided to try out a couple new ideas for the new songs.  You'll note near the end that we'd spliced in a section of the studio version of the song.   The recording is going really well, writing with Juice and Misty has been a total pleasure.  Our music is sounding better than ever and we now have a blinding lineup for our live shows too! Stay tuned, more new music shall be revealed in the coming weeks as well as a few new videos too. M
