There are a few segments that were videod around Vancouver, including a moment of live performance that was captured at the Isabelle Dunlop Clothing store on Main Street this spring.  Thanks to Seam McFarland for his camera work on that.  The rest of the clip features a heavily kaleidoscopic looking piano, the old Baldwin upright I inherited from my dearly departed and always missed friend Todd Simko. That piano took up a big part of the personality of this song and though it is quite a tricky thing to get or keep in tune it is very inspiring! We are really excited to be the musical portion of this event, the Isabelle Dunlop Runway Show at the Fox Cabaret.  The night promises to be a blast, with the evening starting off with the fashion show to be closely followed by a showcase set by Combine the Victorious and a full headline set from the brilliant dance band Terrace.  A special shout out must go out to Leigh Grant for joining us on drums at this show.  He's been a true blessing on the kit, adding so much energy and good vibes.  we are really looking forward to this show! We'll be performing a brand new song at the show, as well as using our fantastic remix of Real Life Turns Me On for the fashion portion. We were asked to perform again at this year's Rock n Roll Marathon here in Vancouver.  Of course we said yes, because who doesn't love waking up for a Sunday 6:30AM load in to play a cold wet stage in the darkened corners of East Van?  (I only half kid about that.) Yes, we will be blasting our songs out to the thousands and thousands of hearty runners who take part in this half marathon.  It's been fun the last couple years so we're looking forward to it. Even more importantly we have booked a show at the Fox Cabaret for December 14 2016 as part of a full Boutique Empire evening.  To start the night will be an exclusive Isabelle Dunlop Clothing fashion show, with co-operation from David Briker's store Platform , and Erin Templeton Bags.  The fashion show will be followed by a live performance by Combine the Victorious ,  who shall be joined onstage by Leigh Grant on drums, and we shall conclude the evening the band Terrace  with the dance...

Wow, it's been ages since we've posted anything.  So much has gone on, it's funny to realize how little time we've spent online! The store has been very busy these days, so we've been a bit slack with our music.  However, we do have a couple things coming up that'll be fun.  On Thursday, Dec 17th ,  we are hosting the Boutique Empire Xmas Party at Isabelle's store: Isabelle Dunlop Clothing .   On display will be the debut series from Jean Vercoe, the recluse.   Also we are proud to offer a stage to our friends The Population Drops for a mini showcase set (8:45 sharp).   I'm going to be DJing songs to set the festive vibe and a few of our friends shall be providing a complimentary seasonal beverage for us all to enjoy. Isabelle and I will be doing an acoustic performance at her new store at 4158 Main Street tomorrow.  In the spirit of Valentine's day we'll be singing in harmony with just a guitar and a few beats for a couple of our favourite songs.  Please join us before you head out on a romantic date!   We'll be playing at around 6PM. Isabelle and I took January to build her new clothing store here in Vancouver at 4158 Main Street.  As it took absolutely all our time we had no time for much else, even music!  However, the shop is open and looking great and we've got our eyes set on finishing the next album.  The past year was quite production in getting our live show together and writing new material so now we have to go thru all the various ideas and decide which of them fit well together as a full length. One idea that I've been throwing around in my head since 2012 was to combine the best tracks from our last ep with the latest and greatest of our new songs and press the entire collection on vinyl.  It would be our first vinyl album, and that alone is very exciting to us.   Additionally it would be brilliant to give artist Rob Edmonds a full sized cover to play around with.  We know it would be a stunning looking and sounding work.
