Victorious Combinations

  We are really excited about tonight at The Fox Cabaret. We hit the stage at &:45 sharp and perform all the songs from our brand new album Amnesia.  It's been a good year for us creatively and we are all quite proud of the new music. If you're in Vancouver please join us for a great night of music with our friend Skaboom closing the evening with a set of classic ska tunes to make us all dance!  Amnesia is also out today on most other streaming sites (excepting Spotify which is the one site I find to be unethical). So look us up on Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube, or pretty much anywhere that doesn't rip off the artists that upload onto their streaming platforms!   We are excited to announce our CD Release party on Friday December 19th at the one and only Fox Cabaret with our pals Skaboom closing the night.  Early show, doors at 7PM, Combine the Victorious will begin at 7:45 sharp and Skaboom with follow starting at 8:45 until 10. Tickets available here 

 We are pleased to announce we are joining our friends The Aleatonics this Saturday night at Lana Lou's  We are the second act so I predict we will hit stage around 9:30 or so.  It's always fun at Lana Lou's and we will be playing our new single Awkward Connector.

 We are pleased to be included as part of this party to End Violence Against Women on Monday November 25th. We are told we go on stage around 9PM. It's a great venue and I'm pleased we shall be performing on it once again (the last time was likely 2008 or 2009! Come on out and have dance with us, as it's all for a good cause!

  We are excited to be playing our first show in Squamish on August 9th 2024 at Trickster's Hideout.  Combine the Victorious shall be opening for our friends Zombie Roof, a very old school rock and roll unit from Squamish. Set times are 9Pm for Combine and 10 PM for Zombie Roof, who shall be performing an extensive collection of songs spanning their thirty year plus existence.  Facebook event link

  Weare excited to announce we are performing a series of shows this coming August in western Canada. With the first of these shows being in Squamish, British Columbia at Trickster's Hideout with our friends Zombie Roof , August 9th.  Then we drive to Manitoba to take in a little prairie sunshine and perform in Gimli, Manitoba at the SHip and Plough. August 15th.  The next night we are doing a house concert at the same place we performed last year (thank you Micheal and Elaine) on the Friday August 16th.  Finally we are going to be playing in Brandon, Manitoba on the Saturday August 17th at the Monkeyhouse IIII, a secret party venue in the city.

 It would be an understatement to say we had a good time at our show last weekend. The show was sold out and the audience was incredible, supportive, appreciative, dancing, singing, cheering! We could not have asked for a better night. Thanks again to Images In Vogue for asking us to be a part of the show and to the wonderful folks at the Rickshaw Theatre for taking care of us.  Here are the final two songs we performed that evening, our latest song Goodbye Bad Times and a favorite of ours to close the show We Are Not Alone.  Please check them out! Earlier this week Isabelle and I had an interview with Fiona Forbes (the former host of Shaw's cable show Urban Rush) on her new series " Onstage ." The irony here is of course we are all in isolation due to the Covid 19 virus so the onstage portion has changed significantly. Our appearance is about 8 minutes into the show where we chat with Fiona about what's been going on and how we are coping with the shutdown. After that we have a two song live performance from our basement where we play the songs The Bolsheviks and Glasgow. It was a lot of fun to do and seems to be the way forward for the next month or so for all of us!  Please have a look and let us know what you think. Mark and Isabelle

We are really excited about a couple new videos that are being made concurrently.  One is still being developed and we're hoping we can secure some grant money to finish it, and the other is almost ready for airing.  So, rather than tease you with details about the former (we will admit it's for our song Best Tonight ), we shall let out some information about that latter video: Glasgow (live @FoxCabaret). We are pleased to be a part of the opening of Vancouver Creatives Two which will be held at Make Gallery , starting June 4th until July 3rd 2015. A few months back Bastien and Virginie of VNB took a glorious portrait of Isabelle in her store, using an antique box camera.  We had a wonderful time meeting them and the shoot itself was quite illuminating.  As you can see from the poster above they have photographed several really interesting and inspiring people from around Vancouver, and it's quite an honour to be included in the exhibition. We had an amazing start to the new year with our performance at eatART: Ascension 2015 .   A Sold Out party at their splendidly decorated warehouse in East Van; we played a 55 minute set right at midnight to 500 eager dancers! We are truly excited to be performing at this year's eatArt New Year's Eve event, " Ascension ." EatArt is a charitable organization / artists' collective that has been making exceptional events for the past five years here in Vancouver.  We've been asked to be one of the evening's entertainers and it appears that we shall have the midnight spot at the show.  Combine the Victorious will be opening the new year! This is a pretty spectacular event, and we've heard impressive things about previous years, so we both expect it to be a fantatstic way to begin 2015! We will be joining our Catlow and the Lower 48 along with The Lion at the Hindenburg later this month on Thursday Dec 18th.  Looking forward to trying out a new club in Vancouver! We will be performing live at The Reef, 4172 Main St, Vancouver, this coming Sunday, November 9th and the second Sunday of each month following.  We're going to be trying out new songs, as well as reworking tracks from our last releases.  Come in out of the rain and warm up at with us as we prepare songs for our next album.  It's a great vibe.

This Sunday morning  (october 26th) we will be a part of the inaugural Rock 'n' Roll Marathon here in Vancouver.  The Rn R Marathon is a half marathon that has the distinction of having a live music soundtrack!  All along the marathon course will be several bands, each performing as the majority of the runners goes by. Combine the Victorious will be playing at one of the early stages, we're on from 8:15 to around 9 Am this Sunday morning.  (for anyone who knows us, this is ridiculously early for either of us, but we've got the gig and we're doing it!) So, if you're running in the race give us a wave as you go by.  We've got some new tunes ready to perform and they should provide the perfect soundtrack for a rainy Sunday morning!   Read more about the marathon here Cheers! Recorded during our show at the Fox Cabaret opening up for Sex With Strangers on May 29th, 2014. This is our revised version of Crumbling Hearts that we've worked out for our duo show. We'd like to thank our good friends Sex With Strangers for adding us to the bill on their album release party night.  It was an entertaining evening of music and it was a pleasure to share the stage with SWs and ACTORS !  Check 'em both out if you haven't already. We are really excited to be playing the Fox Cabaret this Thursday night.  We'll be opening the night for headliners Sex With Strangers album release party.  Also on the bill is a favourite band of ours ACTORS and War Baby.  2321 Main Street, doors at 8.  Combine the Victorious is on a 8:30, plus it is a FREE SHOW!  So there are no reasons not to attend.  It will be a great night of music, without a doubt. Isabelle and I are keen to try out a brand new song for this show.  We both feel as though it might be the first single from our next album and there's nothing like playing a song live to get a feeling for how it works.  Of course we'll also be performing some of our strongest songs off the Crumbling Hearts ep as well, though we've given each of them a little special update to make everything feel fresh and exciting.
